Jafza Rules 6.1-6.9

Customers, employees, or contractors in Jafza must comply with regulations, hold valid leases and licenses, and adhere to international and UAE laws.

Jafza Rules 7.2-7.3, 7.7

Customers must hold valid registration, a valid lease, and adhere to federal, municipal, and Jafza laws to qualify for and maintain their Licence.

Jafza Rules 8.1.2

Customers leasing premises must operationalize them within specified timeframes and maintain them in functional, clean, and good repair to avoid breach.

Jafza Rules 8.2

Sub-leasing of premises requires Jafza's approval and the sub-lessor is jointly liable for the sub-lessee.

Jafza Rules 9.1.3

Customers must obtain Jafza's approval for premises modifications and meet construction standards, including necessary permits and environmental considerations.

Jafza Rules 10.1

Customers must insure their premises against all risks; insurance must be approved by Jafza and include joint names for buildings they erect.

Jafza Rules 10.2

Customers must obtain annual third-party liability insurance and workmen's compensation insurance, providing Jafza with renewed policy copies and insurer's certificates.

Jafza Rules 11.1.1-11.1.4

Customers seeking Jafza sponsorship must sign agreements, enrol employees in protection programs, and may need guarantees.

Jafza Rules 11.1.8-11.1.9, 11.1.11

Sponsored Employees may only work within the Free Zone for their designated Customer and must cancel entry permits upon termination of sponsorship.

Jafza Rules 11.2

Customers must sign Employment Agreements, manage employee matters, and comply with labor regulations including pay and working hours.

Jafza Rules 11.3

Employers can hire non-sponsored individuals only with prior Jafza approval and must ensure staff have the appropriate identity cards or access passes.

Jafza Rules 11.4.5, 11.5.1-11.5.6, 11.6

Customers must apply for all employee passes through Jafza and cover costs related to employment permits and must return passes upon employment cessation.

Jafza Rules 11.7, 14.3.3

Customers must register for the Wage Protection System and pay all employee salaries through it by the 15th of each month.

Jafza Rules 11.8.15-11.8.17, 11.9.1-11.9.4

On termination, a Customer must provide airfare to the nearest airport and a Service Certificate; Jafza must be notified of disciplinary actions within 10 days.

Jafza Rules 11.9.6, 14.3.5

Customers must cancel employees' residence permits and access passes within 30 days post-employment to avoid fines.

Jafza Rules 11.11, 14.3.4

Employees absent without explanation for more than seven calendar days are considered absconding, and employers must notify Jafza within seven days.

Only authorized entities can inspect Jafza customers; customers must facilitate inspections and properly store materials to avoid fines.

Customers in Jafza may only house authorized employees in accommodation and must rectify over-occupancy or endure license consequences.

Jafza Rules 13.1.2-13.1.3, 13.3

Contraband and certain dangerous goods are prohibited in the Free Zone, requiring compliance with customs rules for imports and exports.

Jafza Rules 14.8, 15.1

Customers must adhere to EHS regulations, comply with notices, and ensure employees handling food have health certifications; violations incur penalties.

Jafza Rules 15.2, 14.6

Customers must report employee illnesses, accidents, or emergencies to the relevant authority immediately and provide written reports within one day.

Jafza Rules 15.4-15.6

No new soak ways are allowed; buildings must connect to sewage systems and handle liquid industrial waste according to strict regulations.

Jafza Rules 15.7

Containers and portacabins cannot be used for storage or accommodation without Jafza's approval and a refundable deposit, limited to four months.

Jafza Rules 15.9

Customers must adhere to fire safety measures and ensure proper fire protection systems are installed in modified or newly built premises.

Jafza Rules 16.1-16.2

Drivers and operators must have valid RTA licenses for vehicles in Free Zone roads, and commercial vehicles require Jafza’s prior approval for purchase.

Jafza Rules 18

Customers must report security violations, maintain security systems, provide emergency contact details, and ensure proper authorization for photography in Jafza.

Jafza Rules 19

Customers must settle all operational matters and restore premises to original conditions by the termination of the Lease or Licence.

Jafza Rules 14.1-14.2, 14.10

Jafza imposes penalties for rule violations, including fines for unremedied breaches, with serious violations resulting in license termination and premises closure.

Jafza Rules 11.9, 10.2-ret

Employers must retain employment files and related records as per Labour Law and Jafza instructions from the date of employee exit or policy expiry.
